Baikal was built on SabreDAV and provides the visual interface SabreDAV lacks, allowing developers and other users to login and manage their calendars, organizers, and contacts.
Baikal supports an unlimited number of registered users, calendars, events per calendar, address books, and contacts.
People can register and create their own set of calendars and address books, which they can edit at any later point.
The admin can turn CalDAV or CardDAV functionality on or off whenever they need it, and various settings can be customized via the Baikal backend.
Baikal also features a graphic installation wizard, support for both MySQL and SQLite databases, and features a Bootstrap-powered admin panel.
